Ram Mandir & Western Media

 BEING SECULAR, AND NOT SICKULAR

"I am an Indian

Not Bhakth

I am Secular

Not Sickular"

During my 3 years long academic session in Journalism I was taught - “Journalism is the fourth pillar of democracy. To be precise its the watchdog of democracy. Journalism is about informing and educating the public on ongoing scenarios so that citizens could frame their perspectives and views”. Unfortunately, today’s Journalism has lost its definition and worth in the world of towering TRPs and lopsided political leanings.

Nowadays, journalism is all about a bunch of self-driven journalists who are not only imparting information but also feeding and enforcing their prejudices onto the public. I am sorry, but such a cheap stunt isn’t called journalism and they aren’t journalists but butchers and hate-mongers hammering their opinions.

Ram Mandir

5th August 2020 was nothing less than a Diwali vibe for India, especially for Hindus. Millions were awaiting to witness Bhoomi Pujan, the historic event for more than 30 years. Though I highlighted the fact that Hindus were happy it doesn’t imply that Muslims were sad.

Moreover, I respectfully salute and applaud every Muslim for honoring the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding the Ayodhya, the disputed land.

The Poignant Media

While none held hatred against the victory of secularism and Judiciary, it had to finger the media tycoons in the West. Be it the abrogation of Article 370, Delhi Riots, or Babri Majid issue, if the status quo was disrupted the sole culprit was hate-spewing media, who were busy passing biased judgments and stats.

In Ayodhya land dispute though the Supreme Court ruled that “All evidence indicates that a reasonable inference based on a preponderance of probabilities can be made that there was a continuum of faith and belief of the Hindus that the garbh griha was the place of birth of Lord Ram both before and after the construction of the wall,”

SC also stated that there is evidence to establish worship by the Hindus before the annexation of Oudh by the British in 1857. Whereas the Muslims have offered no evidence to indicate that they were in exclusive possession of the inner structure before 1857, since the mosque’s construction in the 16th century.

Even though the verdict sailed on well-analyzed facts and pieces of evidence, the media couldn’t digest the balanced judgment.

As usual, Washington Post was busy fanning the flames of communal disharmony by saying

India marks another day of erasure and insult against its Muslim citizens”

Even The Economist boosted its repugnant standard of journalism by saying

India’s Ruling Party replaces a Mosque with a Hindu Temple

Whereas Muslims like Mohammad Salees, convenor of the All India Sunni Ulema Council, said, “The fire that the British ignited to divide Hindus and Muslims has finally been put out.” and Syed Hassan Raza Zaidi, Imam-e-Juma, Shia Jama Masjid, said, “I appeal to all to accept the decision of the country’s topmost court, and maintain peace and harmony in the city and the country.”

In any land, if the minority is not served with their wishes western media creates chaos pointing out the Niazism by the majoritarian community. But has the Western media biggies ever dared point out the victimhood faced by the Hindus in Hindustan centuries ago by the Muslims?

For instance, on a priority basis, there are 3 holiest places for Hindus that is Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura but how many of you are aware of the fact that all three of them were vandalized and rebuilt as mosques?

In 1194 Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath was demolished by the commanders of Mohammad Ghori. After it was rebuilt, again in the 15th century it was vandalized under the reign of Sikander Lodhi. Moreover, adding onto the scale of massacre Aurangzeb knock down the pious temple and erected the Gyanvapi mosque in its place. He also demolished Mathura’s ancient Keshavnath temple and built the Shahi Idgah mosque.

Now, if you are in Delhi and visit Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque, you will find a stone tablet outside the mosque that undisguisedly claims that the mosque was built using the motifs and remains recovered from the demolition of 27 Hindu and Jain temples.

Why no such mentions in your articles when pointing victimhood in India?

Dear western media, just like how our Supreme Court has put an end to your divide and rule strategy in Ayodhya dispute, India shall soon be free from the lopsided communal binoculars you use for India.

Substandard Britishers were not tolerated and entertained then and shall not be obliged even now. We might be divided into the branches of Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Jains, Sikhs, and many more but at the core, we are one bleeding in the name of India.
